Georgia Browne

Flute

Australian born historical flautist Georgia Browne is one of the leaders in her field, collaborating with some of the world’s most exciting musicians and ensembles. She is principal flute with Raphael Pichon’s acclaimed ensemble Pygmalion with whom she has toured and recorded since 2011. In France she performs with Ensemble Correspondances and Ensemble Jupiter and in the UK she works with Arcangelo led by Jonathan Cohen, The English Concert and the Dunedin Consort as well as appearing as a guest with ensembles throughout Europe and Australia. Georgia has appeared on a number of albums including award winning recordings of Bach’s St Matthew Passion and the Mass in B minor with Pygmalion for the Harmonia Mundi label as well as her celebrated album of flute music by Carl Friedrich Abel. As a teacher, she combines private coaching with masterclasses at tertiary institutions across the globe.
